カタマランのエンジンについて

アウトボードエンジンについて

コメントを読ませていただき私の考えを書いて見ます。
私はガソリンエンジンのアウトボードを今造っているカタマランに載せようと考えていますが、このアウトボードエンジンは４サイクルの９．９馬力　ロングシャフトのハイスラスト使用を考えています。

カタマランに取り付けますと足の長さが足らなくなる可能性があるため、エンジン本体が上下できるように考えて取り付けようと考えていますが、まだ細かいところは未定と言ったところです。船体内にアウトボードを収納する事も出来ますが、排気ガスと冷却水の配管が必要となってきますので、直接スターンに取り付けようと考えています。(今のところ確実ではありませんが）

ガソリンエンジンのアウトボードはヨットのエンジンとして使うには数々の長所と短所があると思います。
私にとっての長所から書きますと、

経済的、カタマランのハルに二機取り付けますので、ディーゼルエンジンと比べますと取り付け費を入れて多分４～５分の一で済む。

軽量、ディーゼルエンジンと比べ４分の一ぐらいの重さで済む？、これは燃料の多さにも関係があります。

メンテナンスが簡単、エンジン関係のパーツが簡素｛冷却水や排気ガス系）などなど。

短所、

ガソリンの発火性がディーゼルより高い、これは主に取り扱いの問題が大きいと思われます。多くの車やモーターボートはガソリンを積んで高速で走りまわり波を飛び越えて問題なく使われています、私自身モーターボートを所有していましたが特に危険と言う事はありませんでした。
ここニュージーランドでも一度給油中のモーターボートが爆発した事故がありましたが、給油中にタバコを吸っていたためガソリンに引火したのが原因でした。

これは問題外です。

ガソリンのアウトボードエンジンで世界一周した船も多くいます。
この問題で一つ気になったことですが、日本の夏は余り風がないと聞いております。小笠原高気圧に覆われた日本の夏は風が無くおまけに台風の余波のためウネリがある海ではエンジンを多用することが多く、うねりのためのピッチングでアウトボードが空回りしてしまう事があると想像できます。

アウトボードを載せる場合（発電）の問題が起こってきます。
アウトボートエンジンでは、１機あたり時間６アンプ位 しか発電出来ないので、ソーラーパネルとウインドジェネレーターを使う予定です。
また補助に発電機を載せようと思います。

私が考えているアウトボードエンジンの使い方ですが、多くはマリーナの出入りや島でのアンカーの時の補助エンジンとしてです。もし風が無く波が静かならばエンジンを一機ずつ掛けて長時間走れるように考えていますし、風が出るまで海面上で浮かんで待つぐらいの気持ちでセーリングをするつもりです。（ヨットを出来る限り軽く造り、微風でもセーリングできるように造る）。
ヨットの場合特にセールを多用しますので、セーリング中エンジンを引き上げられるアウトボードエンジンはヨットの性能上にも役に立ちます。

エンジン選びにおいて一番大事な事は言うまでも無く船に合ったエンジンを選ぶ。言葉を換えますと載せるエンジンに合う船に造る。船と言うのは９５％ぐらいは停泊しているか、またはメンテナンスで陸に上がっていると言い切れるのでは?、後の５％ぐらいがセーリングしている現実の時間ではないか?と考えます。
良く他のヨット乗り達とエンジンの話しをしますと多くは『ディーゼルエンジンだ』と言った答えを聞きますが、特に考えがあって答えているのではなく今までの船の多くがディーゼルエンジンを積んでいたから『ディーゼルだ』と言っているように思えます。

昔の船は重たくキールは深く海水を押し分けて進むため、ディーゼルエンジンがピッタリでしたが、最近の船は海面を滑るように走るのでガソリンエンジンの高回転エンジンが使えるようになってきたと思います。

アウトボードエンジンをヨット?に載せる為には、船自体を軽く造る事と水中抵抗を可能な限り少なくすることがポイントとなるのではないか?と考えています。
そのためにもカタマランは出来る限り軽く造ることに金を掛けています。総てエポキシレジンを使い船の素材も特別に注文したマテリアルを使っています。
４８フィートのカタマランでただ今の時点では３トン弱と軽く出来ています。これは私自身も満足している軽さです。


燃費の問題もセーリングを多く考えますと短時間的にはガソリンエンジンは燃費は悪いのですが１年間を考えますと大きな差はなくなってきますので、船が軽ければアウトボードエンジンが良いと考えています。
静かな風のない環境ではエンジン１機で７ノット、２機掛けますと１０ノットぐらいで走ることが出来ると考えています。

参考に、８，５トンのディープキールのヨットを２馬力のアウトボードエンジンでヨットの舵が何とか使えるぐらいのスピードで動かす事が出来ます。

まだまだ色々な条件の時があり長所や短所が多く有ると思いますが気が付いた事を書いてみました。

Since the dairy cow farm which is the industry of New Zealand cultivates the dry riverbed in which grass originally does not grow, either, pumps up the water of the river bed, waters by sprinkler, cultivates grass forcibly and keeps dairy cow, when it is called without knowing why? . When it glances, it is visible to a great pasture, but in order to pump out the water of a river, it begins to get dry out , manure and fertilizer flow into the river with rain, and the river has become that it is likely to die stinking. Developing countries , New Zealand where priority was given to economy over natural environment falls victim to the laborious beautiful passage of money-making of some people, and nature is destroyed. It is actual that the reality in which it is never reflected by the photograph and video for advertisement is there, and the number of the every year increase by damage , the salmon of spawning is becoming fewer by this pollution.

Such come back only by it being impossible to fish simply and always seeing the river for a short period of time, although the river is visited in order that we may go to fish a salmon in passing whenever we go to South Island . [ Let's catch Salmon ! ] which will surely fish a salmon completely [ we made a decision] .
the caravan was pulled from North Island, and salmon fishing was thoroughly given for two months.
This is a story at that time.

Salmon fishing was carried out by making a caravan into a base in the campsite every day. wake up every morning at 4:00 then go to the river , once returning take a nap, and go to the river in the evening again. we did our best, when would stand near the stinking river and one salmon would be fished somehow. how to fish is easy -- a salmon -- it is as simple tedious fishing as it is better to say that the gimmick does not have the necessity , merely casting a lure in a river, and casting in the distance so much deeply , pulled lure slowly near the bottom , either, and is simply dug deep like fishing. It is the fishing which I want to flee at any moment when fishing of such a stinking river that is not interesting is disagreeable, and becomes. [ Fishes are in the river ? ] Salmon, Searun trout and Kahawai which will hang about at a mouth of a river come with flood tide. when into the river, used to get the body in fresh water of the river, Salmon go up to the upper stream, and Kahawai returns to the sea then hang around in the mouth of the river, and Searun trout carry out laying-eggs in the upper stream occasionally. In order that fish may go up and go to the upper stream along with a flow underfoot.

So angler as which there is no necessity of casting lure in the distance, and no device necessity. While dozens of people fish by taking up position near the mouth of a river, we also stand together, and imitated the method which local people are doing,. since it was too much simple fishing,-- the beginning -- me -- a salmon -- using the method of trout fishing, it is a difficult method of fishing and challenged. Although the shortcut, first of all, imitated the method which local people are doing, since it was too much simple fishing, perversity I decoyed myself.

The salmon has not been fished about two months since then. A salmon cannot be fished yet , although Searun trout and Kahawai can be fished occasionally. It still fishes toward the river every day. Although it sees, seeing salmon, since salmon go into the river like every day a certain time -- when -- a thing -- while appearing or sinking into an impending flow like ---fresh water --- accustomed ---since the figure to which the salmon made like has stick in one place , a lure was cast, but however it may do even if it pulls slowly and pulls quickly, a salmon does not interested in a lure. A salmon like an around 1m dolphin appears at hand, or it sinks, or is carrying out. Although there is also individual specificity, after leaving a few, it goes up and goes to the upper stream slowly. Therefore, a salmon is in a place impending [ several meters ] for a while. Although a lure is cast in order it is desperate and to fish this salmon, it cannot be fished.

If a river overflows and it rains in a mouth of a river, of course even if a mouth of a river is in the river which this salmon go up openly, when it rains upstream, a river will overflow. Such a day was also fishing, although everybody did not become fishing toward the river. a salmon -- except since it knows that the fish is drifting on the boundary line which a muddy stream and a clear stream join and other anglers are not even if the river overflows,memorized by trout fishing and is, good fishing can be performed, can not be fished every day, and we asked to local people whether only we can not catch a salmon , local people will say, "about seven salmons return to a river every day." Seemingly, it can fish by the probability of about one per day, while about an average of 100 persons are fishing. It is also the people who got to know all salmon fishing of local. It is the fishing which cannot fish at least that of a word lie saying "It is the better one if two salmon can be fished by a local man in a one season ( four months ). this -- about -- if it is a salmon which cannot be fished and I will fish somehow, the idea of the freak, will burning with catch a salmon .

Then, although the fishing which cannot be fished every day again is carried out, it cannot fish too. When I told to wife that I who was giving up truly will already stop today, wife said, "It waits a little longer, and if it passes to a slight degree, a salmon surely passes along this." Simple fishing petty unavoidable again was continued. then, it will be having done what -- the salmon started truly suddenly. It is two months and the second salmon The salmon which acted as needle charge turned the face of the salmon to the upper stream skilfully with the salmon which runs in into a river by first-run one not being missed shortly, led it to the creek which flows into a river, was well guided to the bank, and was pulled up on the bank. This was deep emotion.
When I asked wife later why the salmon passed along this at this time. Wife fishes every day. It is saying that the salmon went into the mouth of a river from the sea, and began to go up to the upper stream, and this time; passes oneselves front calculated every day. Thus, wife has realized that it is the fun of fishing from considering action of a fish having fished the fish.

There was another impression, a sight which salmon go up to spawning even such a dirty river and salmon fishing in which it is simple , although the water of the river decreased and the salmon has decreased, when the salmon which go to up along with a flow is wrong and a shallow is collided with, since the back cannot do it as for a salmon, the shallow is gone up desperately and it goes -- the step is gone up -- if it becomes, to the extent that it flies and takes with the fingers -- most -- the whole body is taken out and the shallow is gone up. It is a wonderful spectacle which the morning sun reflects in the salmon which goes up this shallows , and huge silver lure goes up the river, and goes. This is worth seeing. moreover, the figure of the salmon which shines with glitter.
Although I do not think wanting to go to this river to fish a salmon again but I definitely think that would like to see that sight of spawning run in the shallows river.

The present dream , go to Alaska again and has wanted to fish a king salmon near the mouth of a river , when the catamaran is completed.
